I am the founder and CEO of Solutions 4 Business, a Professional Practice Coaching firm devoted to creating personal and professional balance, wealth and direction for private practice dentists. My clients tell me through our coaching they get more out of life, grow personally and professionally and accomplish more than they ever expected and do it faster.

I coach successful dental practitioners to be highly profitable and more completely fulfilled in their personal and professional lives. What that means for them is less stress, more time and money and a healthier business and personal life.

I am a graduate of Coach University and I’m the first dentist in the United States to receive the professional coach certification from Coach U and the International Coach Federation (ICF).

In addition, I am proud to be the first and only dentist in the world to hold the coveted designation Master Certified Coach (MCC) awarded by the ICF.I’ve blended thirty-two years of clinical practice and entrepreneurship with my business training and executive experience at a leading financial planning and investment firm. Over this time I made all the mistakes, tapped into the brilliance of my dental team, and utilized my business background to grow my dental practice to operate among the top five-percent nationwide.

I was able to develop and coordinate a unique and profitable private practice business model that integrated two specialties with two comprehensive general family practitioners.

I knew we dentists could do more than simply drill-fill-&-bill. I wanted to dispel the belief that the only thing dentists are trained to do is fix teeth. As such I entered a second career where I served in several executive management roles working almost exclusively with doctors and small businesses, helping them integrate their practice and business goals with their financial goals. As Vice President of Operations for Mercer Global Advisors, I was responsible for the performance, coaching, staffing and profitability of their eight offices throughout the country. Talk about an emersion business training program-this was it! I was called on to present nearly 300 seminars at over 30 state and local dental and medical association and society meetings and conferences on topics ranging from “Service Concepts-Dentistry’s Moments of Truth” to Financial and Investment management.

Like I said, I made a lot of mistakes and it was through those guffaws that I have been able to live my life, both personally and professionally, out of choice. I retired from twenty years of private practice along with five years of corporate management experience and today as a professionally certified dental coach I get to help professionals and their teams achieve more of what they want: increases in profits, increases in referrals and treatment acceptance, lowered overhead, less negative stress, improved doctor/staff relations, and more time to spend with family and outside interests. I believe I have the BEST career in the world.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Communications (BA) and my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Ohio State University; a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Baldwin-Wallace College and was awarded the Masters designation (MAGD) from the Academy of General Dentistry. Because I am committed to supporting my clients and helping them with their staffing issues, I earned a Professional Certificate in Human Resources from Baldwin-Wallace College. I remain active in Toastmasters International and organized dentistry, and currently serve as a Trustee for the Ohio Dental Association Foundation. You might think I’m nuts or a glutton for punishment but I serve as President of the North Ridgeville City Council.
