The Ideal Patient Profile

Last week I listened to a client complaining about “this patient and that patient”, bemoaning the situation that more and more people are challenging to he and his staff. He claimed that they complain about his fees; they complain about the wait; they complain about the “temperature” of the office; they even complain about the music he plays. Now if you perceived that this guy is a COMPLAINER…….he is! Aside from suggesting he read a couple of books (Selling the Invisible; Micro Branding…both can be found on my blog if you click on this link and scroll down) I asked him to identify the “type” of people he wanted to work with. I heard a dead silence as he had no clue. In other words, what would an ideal patient really look like for this doctor? How would he know it if they were sitting in his chair? What behaviors would he like to see in these ideal patients? I passed on a questionnaire to him to help his discernment. I’m chosing to share with my readers the simple form that I used with my complaining client. It’s a tool to help you identify the kinds of people you choose to serve.
